Drama is NOT excitement!

The boyfriend is near perfect. He is so good to me, if I even mention something that I want or need, he's there with it in the blink of an eye practically. And we haven't gotten into an arguement or a disagreement in the 5 months that we've been dating. He's as easy going as I am.

He's met the boys and they, of course, love him. And he really likes hanging out with them too.

He hasn't rushed the "L" word, but it has come up in conversation a couple of times. Which, in my book, is killer!!

And I should find all of this wonderful and completely satisfying, instead I'm finding it to be a tad boring. Not that I want drama, that's the last thing I want! But something, I need something different.

George Bush + Google = Failure

If you go to www.google.com and type Failure in the search engine and hit "I'm feeling Lucky" guess what website loads! http://www.whitehouse.gov/president/gwbbio.html which is President Bush's Biography page. Surprise! Surprise!

Anyway, here is why.

The New Toy

I finally broke down and bought a new camera. It's WONDERFUL! After having my delinquent next door neighbor girl/babysitter for one night steal my two bad ass cameras last year and having to borrow my mom's and hearing her bitch about every spec of dust on the lens I decided it was high time to get a new one. I'm a picture taking FA-REAK! And as you can probably tell by my two previous entries it's already consuming my face.

My (now ex-) husband once told me that Tre doesn't recognize me without a camera in front of my face.

So I got it. It's the Sony DCS-H1. And I LOVE it.

Nate's Mohawk

As I mentioned last week we decided to give Nathaniel a mohawk. Well it's sort of molded into his personality. Even at two and a half he's a little dare devil. He's not a bad child, not usually. The child knows NO fear! Which scares me a little. Anyway, this is the perfect hair cut for him and it may be there for a while.  Posted by Picasa

Sometimes it feels really good to Talk

Last night I hung out with my friend, Eric. I've known Eric for what seems like forever, whether he knew me or not. That's the way it usually went in our small beach community. I'd go to parties and run into people that I've known since I was like 5 but they don't realize who I am because I moved away to NC or AU in that very crucial partying stage.

Anyway, that's not the point.

Eric and I just talk. Everytime we hang out, we talk for hours. And it's good because when I feel like I'm talking too much he typically intervenes by saying "Don't you dare stop" or something to that effect. It makes me feel really good. He actually listens and it feels good to tell him about what I've been through since I moved away. And to hear about his adventures, which they definitely are.

He didn't know about Philip, my husband. At least not to the extremity that it was. And he didn't know about my dad dieing. And the best part was that he asked questions about everything. He was truly interested in my story. And it felt really good to share it with him.

Tell me.

Tell me that you can't get me out of your mind. Tell me how pretty you think I am. Tell me that you love finding my hair in your truck and smelling my perfume on your pillows after we spend the weekend together.
Tell me how much you missed me last night and that you dreamt of dancing with me on the beach.
Tell me you couldn't sleep because thoughts of me shimmered in the darkness as you lay with your eyes closed.
Tell me that you almost love me. And that when I fall you will be there to catch me.
But if it's not true, tell me good bye.

To me this is the saddest thing. Maybe I am pathetic for wanting to help the animals rather than the people but it's the people who put the animals in this shameful predicament. Not the opposite.

When in China Don't eat the Tiger meat

Chinese Eatery Sold Donkey in Tiger Urine
Thursday, September 8, 2005
(09-08) 15:58 PDT SHANGHAI, China (AP) --
A restaurant in northeastern China that advertised illegal tiger meat dishes was found instead to be selling donkey flesh — marinated in tiger urine, a newspaper reported Thursday.
The Hufulou restaurant, located beside the Heidaohezi tiger reserve near the city of Hailin, had advertised stir-fried tiger meat with chilies for $98as well as liquor flavored with tiger bone for $74 a bottle, the China Daily reported.
Raw meat was priced at $864 per kilogram.
The sale of tiger parts is illegal in China and officers shut down the restaurant, only to be told by owner, Ma Shikun, that the meat was actually that of donkeys, flavored with tiger urine to give the dish a "special" tang, the newspaper said.
The report didn't say how the urine was obtained.
Authorities confiscated the restaurant's profits and fined Ma $296 it said. It wasn't clear what Ma was fined for. Selling donkey meat is not illegal in China and it is widely consumed in the northeast.
Ma had initially claimed that the meat came from dead tigers sold to him by the management of the Heidaohezi reserve, but later changed his story, the report said.
While Heidaohezi's director denied that claim, the reserve, with about 150 tigers, has been involved in similar controversies in the past.
Until China outlawed the trade in 1993, the reserve received most of its revenue from the sale of tiger skins, bones and other body parts, which are believed by Chinese to imbue vigor and sexual prowess.

Over the Boyfriend?

Explanation in one word:

Routine.

Now, I thought I could keep this relationship new and fresh and exciting. And I've tried. Four months, only. And it's already a routine. After Four Months.

Four months, I say!

It's driving me crazy!!

The boyfriend breaks his collar bone.

The low down:

Doing donuts on a 4-wheeler after three or four beers with buddies, flips it over and breaks his collar bone. IDIOT!

So there go our plans for the weekend. Is that extremely selfish of me?

I have sympathy, but after past experiences I don't have much sympathy for people that drink and drive - even if it is a 4-wheeler. No, Especially if it's a 4-wheeler!

Don't worry, I'll take really good care of him this weekend.

But I REALLY wanted to go Out!

You know, Tuesday was our 4 month anniversary (I know that's gotta be the Lego anniversary - but still!!) And we didn't go out because he had to work early Wednesday, which I understood. But I thought we'd make up for it this weekend!

Ce sera. I guess.

Nate's Mohawk

At this point in time, my cute little Nat Bug is sporting a full on Mohawk. I will post pics as soon as I get them loaded.

Adorable!

The Blame Game, let's join the fun!!

I know, I know. I don't do enough ranting. I don't usually raise my fist at any of the political parties or strike out against any politicians. I try not to have opinions about anything publicly becuase I don't like confrontation. Sure, it makes for a perfectly boring blog. Too bad. It's not like anyone reads this anyway.

HOWEVER...

Ms. Katrina has destroyed New Orleans. The city wants to blame the Feds for no Relief Effort. BULLSHIT!

What the fuck was being done before Ms. Katrina hit the city. NOTHING! Why weren't those people bussed out of the city. I saw a city block size parking lot full of flooded out school buses. There you go. Haul ASS! No. These people were left to fend for themselves. 30 elderly people were found dead in a nursing home because the nurses just left them there. Bullshit! People left their pets with no food or water to just die. This is all complete bullshit.

I live in Florida, Hurricane Capital of the World. We have a plan to leave. Immediatelly. Even though I know with our technology we typically have at least 10 hours notice before a hurricane hits. My dog and my cat and my pet snake will go with us. That's that!

These people had ample time to get out. They didn't. The city of New Orleans had ample time to get old and poor people out. They chose not to.

I feel sorry for the children who have stupid or ignorant parents. I feel sorry for the old people that have no one that cares enough. I feel sorry for the people that died due to ignorant care takers. I feel sorry for the animals that are now homeless or dead or close to either because of careless owners. My heart goes out to all of them.
